A vida cerimonial dos Wajãpi é intensa, marcada por grandes ciclos de rituais como a festa do milho, a festa do mel e as danças dos peixes. Estas danças são celebradas mais em momentos de crise, para agradar e aplacar Ianejar, herói criador, que sempre ameaça destruir a humanidade. A partir da experiência de representação das lendas Wajãpi para o filme Segredos da Mata, dirigida por Seremeté, os velhos Wajãpi se animaram em realizar a grande festa do Pacu Açu, parcialmente exibida neste segmento.

The Wajãpi people have an intense ceremonial life, characterized by large cycles of rituals such as the corn festival, the honey festival and the fish dances. These dances are usually performed in times of crisis, to please and appease Ianejar, the creation hero, who always threatens to destroy humanity. After the experience of representing the Wajãpi myths for the film Jungle Secrets, directed by Seremeté, the Wajãpi elderly were excited to hold the great Pacu-Açu festivity, partially shown in this excerpt.
